Suspects and Clues

You have been asked to use your keen visual skills to analyze works of art from around the world for evidence of fraud in Suspects and Clues. Counterfeiters have banded together with thieves and vandals to pull off the biggest heist of the century. Can you piece together the clues left behind from analyzing the evidence in order to track down the suspects in this tantalizing hidden object game?Work through more than 120 challenges, analyzing beautiful images from around the world and recovering stolen treasures in Suspects and Clues.

Suspects and Clues leads you from one location to another examining beautiful artwork for signs of counterfeit. Identify five differences, and then move on to the next object. There are a total of five objects at each location. Receive pay for each discrepancy you mark, a bonus for finding all five discrepancies in one object, and a larger bonus for successfully examining all five objects at a location.

Suspects and Clues runs a bit slow for me. It seemed to take forever for the game to realize that i had marked all five discrepancies, and move on to the next object. I also would have liked the game better if there were an option to move from one object to the next, and then back again. The artwork was beautiful, and the discrepancies were sometimes well hidden. Suspects and Clues was not a game that the boys have had any interest in, but my daughter (the artist) was as thrilled with the artwork as I was.

The Hidden Prophecies of Nostradamus

See if you can unravel the hidden meanings within the ancient prophecies of 942 in The Hidden Prophecies of Nostradamus. Sort through the puzzles of the ancient tarot cards to gain the pieces of Nostradamus' crystal ball. Find out if the meanings of the prophecies becomes more clear once the crystal ball fragments are reassembled in The Hidden Prophecies of Nostradamus.

The Hidden Prophecies of Nostradamus is filled with clever prose, hidden objects, and a mini game akin to Hangman. Find the list of hidden objects at each location. Upon completion of each level you are given the words from a tarot card. Solve the riddles of prose by filling in the missing letters to read the words of the ancient prophecies.

The Hidden Prophecies of Nostradamus is a challenging game of keen eyesight and wit. The scenes are deftly created to hide the listed objects within plain sight. The hint can be used repeatedly, but must recharge between uses. You can also choose a relaxed mode with an extended time limit. The regular time limit should suffice for most adults and older children. Even my 5 year old knows the principles of choosing the most common letters first. The Hidden Prophecies of Nostradamus intrigued all the kids to come see what they could find. And to argue over who got to choose the next letter!

Once found, the clues will lead you to the last secret locations, and to the doorstep of the renown treasure.  Find tools to add to your inventory along the way to help you in discovering the hidden objects on your list.

Adventure Chronicles: The Search for Lost Treasure is a hidden object game that all of my children are excitedly recommending! This one really drew us in. It has been a while since a hidden object game drew everyone to the computer to search through together. This was fantastic to play together, and led to wonderful side conversations of history and more. It reminded me a lot of going in search of a treasure in the style of National Treasure! Perhaps that was some of the allure of Adventure Chronicles: The Search for Lost Treasure!

Floating Kingdoms ™

Gain the skills to excell in your new promotion of Royal Architect in Floating Kingdoms ™. Your goal is to build a palace on each floating island in the kingdom. You must gather resources and build other buildings in order to achieve this goal. You are in charge of making sure that everything is running smoothly, and all resources are provided as needed in Floating Kingdoms ™.

Floating Kingdoms ™ is a collection of a multitude of types of games threaded together to make each island run properly and provide the resources necessary to completing the building goals on each island. Play mahjong to collect wood, a brick buster to gather stone, gather food or grind flour by matching outlines to fill the boxes, and a match three game gets you more gold.

Floating Kingdoms ™ was definitely not what we expected it to be.  The boys were thrilled with the game. They loved the fact that it had mini games of all different sorts! The pirates were great to get mad at and the traders were fun to buy potions from. My daughter and I thought that Floating Kingdoms ™  was a bit basic, and we like more involved games. With the shortness of activities it is an easy game to play for "just a few minutes".

Overall, this is a game the entire family can enjoy!

Mystery Legends: Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow comes to life as never before in Mystery Legends: Sleepy Hollow. Mystery Legends: Sleepy Hollow lets you wander the eerie town of Sleepy Hollow looking for clues to help you find the answers to the deadly mystery. Choose timed or relaxed mode to play your game. Locate the listed items. There are hints available, and you can earn earn additional hints by looking for the jack-o-lantern in each scene. In several scenes you will also encounter a simple puzzle to be solved.

Mystery Legends: Sleepy Hollow is not a game I would recommend for children. While it is not gory, the theme and the scenes are a bit eerie. Just the stuff that nightmares are made of!  Mystery Legends: Sleepy Hollow is an enjoyable game if the eeriness does not bother you.

Fix-it-up: Kate`s Adventure is a unique twist on a time management game. It reminded us a bit of Build-a-Lot, but with cars instead of houses. Fix-it-up: Kate`s Adventure is a small, but fun game file, and the boys enjoyed playing it with me. Fixing up police cars was among their favorite tasks. The story might not have been very interesting to them, but all the different styles of cars did. Fix-it-up: Kate`s Adventure is a game that can be enjoyed by anyone in the family.

Charma: The Land of Enchantment is a marble popper of furry cuteness. match three or more of the same color to remove them safely from the screen and travel on to the next level.  Colorful bonuses will help you as you swap them into the line of Charmies. Travel safely through each location to find a Heavenly Key, and be able to unlock the gate to the safety of their new home.

Charma: The Land of Enchantment is an adorable marble popper game full of cuddly puff balls called Charmies. These little puffballs remind me of the cute little puffballs from Chuzzle Deluxe™.  Charma: The Land of Enchantment had my boys enthralled as they watched me play it, but a bit frustrated by the difficulty of it when they tried it themselves. Over all, really cute, great for older kids and adults.

Finding Doggy

Doggy was having a great time playing one day, when he fell into a truck just before it drove away. He is bounced out of the truck when it hits a bump, and has no idea how to get home.  Finding Doggy is your chance to help Doggy get home. Meet friends along the way to help Doggy overcome obstacles and trace his path home in Finding Doggy.

Each level also has a super shape that you can earn coins by forming it in your matches. Unlock six different wallpapers to use on your computer.

Finding Doggy is an enchanting match three game that offers a bit of a twist. The path that Doggy must travel is hidden. Uncover it by making matches over it. A small map will show you the entire board so that you can plan your route. Finding Doggy attracted my boys to the computer. It was easy enough for them to enjoy playing by themselves.

Secret Missions: Mata Hari and the Kaiser's Submarines ™ has two modes, easy and hard. In easy mode, the children were easily able to find the needed objects. The object would sparkle when the cursor moved over it. The puzzles were logical and my eight year old had a lot of fun doing them with me. My daughter and I enjoyed looking at the old style clothing, and reading the pieces of the missions and meetings. Secret Missions: Mata Hari and the Kaiser's Submarines ™ is a game that is suitable for the whole family, and it might spark a history lesson along the way!

Fitness Dash is your run of the mill time management game. Even so, it was a fun game. Playfirst took the right side step from Flo, and brought us another fun time management game without Flo. The kids all wanted their turn to try out Fitness Dash, and enjoyed playing it. This one starts out simple enough that the younger ones can play, but the difficulty increases as you move through the levels.

Farm Craft

Ginger was born with agriculture in her blood. As she grew up, Grandpa made sure she learned all the basics in Farm Crafts. For her 18th birthday, Grandma and Grandpa have given Ginger a farm of her own. Can you help her to make it thrive, and find time to defend the county from the Agrocorporation factory too? Find out in Farm Craft.

Farm Craft walks us through the basics of each part of the farm step by step, as we play as Ginger. Learn to till the soil, plant the seeds, keep the crops watered, and collect and sell them for money. later learn how to raise pigs, and chickens in your journey to save the county from the Agrocorporation factory.

Farm Craft reminds us of one of our long standing favorites, Alice Greenfingers. There have been other games that have tried to carry on the same style and theme, some were pretty good, some were horrid. Farm Craft is ranking among the top of the good ones! One of the things we really like about Farm Craft is that you eventually get to hire workers to harvest the produce, leaving the more important tending to the plants, and the rest of the farm to you! Among our other favorites are: Ranch Rush, Alice Greenfingers 2, and Farm Mania.

Nocturnal: Boston Nightfall™

Nocturnal: Boston Nightfall™ sets you as Claire, who is discovering that not only has she just died, but she has been attacked and infected by the "brethren". As you discover and explore your new powers, learn the mysteries of the "brethren" and "nocturnals" in Nocturnal: Boston Nightfall™.

Nocturnal: Boston Nightfall™ leads you through an array of hidden object scenes, and puzzle scenes in your quest to learn to be a "nocturnal". The puzzle levels allow you to earn additional hints that can continue to be accumulated, and used as you need them.

Nocturnal: Boston Nightfall™ maintains a good story as you progress through scenes. The enthralling story is well written. The "brethren" are the "bad", and the "nocturnals" are the "good" creatures. But they are all infected in the same way, and can not be in the sunlight.  Nocturnal: Boston Nightfall™ is a game that my 8yo son enjoyed reading with me, and searching for objects. We discussed the most logical way to go about solving the one type of puzzle, and the next one he was able to do it himself. My other children were put off by the description of the story, the first story scene, and the darkness of the pictures.

The rent is due on Jessica's spaceship, and it is your mission to become chef of a space restaurant and purchase the brilliantly crafted kitchen machines that Jessica has built from scratch to raise money. Explore the universe one customer at a time with Kukoo Kitchen.

Kukoo Kitchen takes you one step at a time to building an out of this world space restaurant. Adorable cut scenes spell out a dire story of rent due and space stories, while you turn your talents to producing customer requests. Upgrade your space kitchen by adding food preparation machines and upgrades in order to allow Jessica's business turn a profit and stay in her current spaceship. Meet all sorts of adorable space creatures whose appetites have brought them to your space kitchen.

Kukoo Kitchen is a pleasant time management game full of friendly looking characters, and an endearing story. As each step is explained by Jessica, this game was very easy for both of my boys to pick up and have fun with. Although I didn't find Kukoo Kitchen particularly challenging, I really enjoyed the story line and game play. I can see this being a game that is returned to over and over in my house.

Neptune's Secret

Orphaned as a baby, left with an unknown amulet, Hannah grows up with a fostered interest in her amulet and archeology in Neptune's Secrets. As top of your class, you are asked to pursue the hidden city of Atlantis. Gather your equipment and set off on an underwater adventure as you unravel Neptune's Secret.

Neptune's Secret shows you picture outlines of the objects you must find for most levels. The gems you find among the rubble can be used with your amulet to produce hints when you are stuck. As this is an underwater hidden object game, too much clicking will fog up your mask temporarily.

Neptune's Secret did not elicit much interest around our house. Although the outlined shapes made it easy for the boys to help look for objects, the underwater theme dampened our desire to look. Neptune's Secret seems to have a decent story line, but we just don't like being underwater and chilled.

Paranormal Agency

Paranormal Agency
Download a free trial!

Paranormal Agencys  You unwillingly gained the ability to see what others can't while defending a child from the paranormal several years back. Now you have inherited a business of paranormal investigation from a friend who is retiring, and are the new owner of Paranormal Agency. As ghosts and poltergeists start flooding into town, it is up to you to defend the town, and drive the spirits back to their own world.

Paranormal Agency takes you into the world of encountering specters as you search for hidden objects to solve the cause of the recent occurrences. Take on levels of word clues, and picture clues while looking for the cause of the disturbances. Occasional mini games appear to challenge you further.

Paranormal Agency was scripted by someone who does not speak English. The story was difficult to read since I kept needing to correct the English, and it was not very interesting either. The hidden object scenes looked as if someone had drawn the background and then placed the "hidden objects" on top of it. Paranormal Agency only got a cursory interest from the kids.

Call of Atlantis

Call of Atlantis takes you on a journey of the ancient lands of the Mediterranean to find the mystical power crystals to power the machine that protects Atlantis. Solve Match three puzzles, and collect hidden objects to answer the Call of Atlantis.

Call of Atlantis is a match three puzzle with an added twist. Enjoy the creative power ups in the challenging match three boards, and then use your keen eyesight to find the pieces of the objects to release the mystical crystals. At the beginning of each level reveal an new fact about the ancient land you are now in.

Call of Atlantis is a pleasant match three game where you make matches to drop the objects out the bottom of the board. The scenes are well done, with gorgeous backgrounds that you can earn as screen savers for your computer. My daughter and i found the facts about the ancient civilizations and lands to be interesting, though the boys were more interested in moving quickly to the next round. Call of Atlantis is a nice combinations of game types, that we all found a part of to enjoy.

My Tribe

Start your own adventure on one of billions of islands in My Tribe. Set your adventurous villagers to tasks to support and grow on your new island home. Let them learn on their own and start families, and then help them to discover the mysteries of the island. Design your new village, and create a thriving, prosperous paradise with My Tribe.

My Tribe starts out by letting you choose your perfect island from among billions of choices. Next you are introduced to your tribe, and can choose who to set on which tasks. Your islanders are intelligent, and will stick to the task you put them on and continue to learn. Build huts and buildings for storage, research, even clothing design, grow your population, and explore the mysteries of your new island home.

My Tribe reminds us of the Virtual Villagers series by Last Day of Work, with a few welcome changes. Once set to a task, the villagers stick to it. Kids can be set on a task and will automatically go to it when they reach working age. Parents are not bogged down for two years with a nursing baby, but instead immediately return to work while the baby toddles around them. We also like the fact that you can research a clothing design building to change the villagers clothes! My Tribe may seem similar to one of our favorites, but I think it stands alone. It is slightly easier for the younger kids (or us busy parents!) to be able to run their own villages, without coming back to a dead village. All of my kids are really enjoying this one!

Hidden Object games move to a new level as Big Fish Games combines hidden object and adventure game play into a fantastic computer game! With the haunting music, and creaking floorboards, my boys asked me to turn off the music so they could help me with Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst ™. This hidden object/adventure game is filled with so many twists, turns, and combinations that I had to keep going back and forth to find all the pieces. This game is definitely worth looking into!

Hospital Hustle

Join Sarah as she graduates from nursing school, and starts looking for a job. Landing a job at the Maryville Medical Center, Sarah starts to care for patients, and get them the care that they need in Hospital Hustle. Buy upgrades for your hospital and staff with the money you earn each day, and work your way through increasingly hectic hospitals across the country  in Sarah's career. See how well you can handle the medical mayhem of Hospital Hustle.

Hospital Hustle puts you in the hospital, but this time you are in control of the decision making! You can even decide what color to make your uniform with the sliding color bars. Move the patients to where they need to go, bring their charts to the appropriate place, and clean up the treatment space after they are gone. Earn money for each patient that is treated. Reach your goal to move on to the next level, and spend your earnings on upgrades to please the patients and make your job easier.

Hospital Hustle was a small distraction to my day. It was not enough of an attraction for any of the kids to take anything more than a cursory look at it though. It provides the repetition and challenge of a time management game, in a medical setting. Once you have achieved success at your first hospital, you can move over to quick play, and take care of medical hysteria in a hurry with Hospital Hustle
