Zombie Bowl-O-Rama

Zombie Bowl-O-Rama

The zombies invaded your town and taken over the bowling alley in Zombie Bowl-O-Rama. Collect your favorite ball, gather up some treats, and bowl those zombies over and back into the graveyard ground. It's up to you to challenge the zombies and strike at them with your bowling skills, and maybe a few tricks, in Zombie Bowl-O-Rama!

Zombie Bowl-O-Rama
Challenge the zombies to a game or two of bowling in Zombie Bowl-O-Rama. As you bowl over the zombies, collect tricks and treats that appear on the lane. Use them to improve your game, or hinder your opponent's as you bowl through the frames. Play through the town as you bowl the zombies back to the graveyard. Tired of zombies? Challenge a friend to a game, or play against the computer. Once you have driven the zombies back into the hole they crawled out of, come back for free play anytime.

My boys and I were thrilled with Zombie Bowl-O-Rama. The zombies were wonderfully colorful characters, and we enjoyed the antics of the tricks and treats. I was thrilled that the zombies minded their manners unlike the verbally offensive Elves. This game may seem to have a bit of a Halloween flavor to it, but I believe it will be one that we enjoy year round. I have to give Zombie Bowl-O-Rama bonus points simply for having a two player mode, but I love that you can set it for sets of tricks and treats, random, or none at all.

Peggle Nights

The Peggle Masters are back in Peggle Nights! Arriving at the Peggle Institute at night, we get a chance to peek in on the Peggle Masters as they sleep, and become part of their dreams. Peggle Nights takes you into the surreal visions of each Peggle Master, but with classic Peggle abilities and familiarity. If you are not familiar with Peggle, we would describe it as "Pinball with flair"!

In
Peggle Nights we go off to fight crime with Master Bjorn, find your own mad scientist while rocking with extra balls, discover your inner artist admiring the teachers artwork, while the spooky ball bounces across the screen a second time, and much more. As you clear the last orange peg, or brick, revel in your accomplishment as glorious, triumphant music pours from your speakers. Peggle Nights gives you all the features you remember from Peggle Deluxe. Choose Adventure mode to get the whole story. Just have time for a Quick Play? Choose your favorite level. Do you want to challenge a friend, sibling, or your parents to a Duel? Pick your round, and see who gets the most points! Peggle Nights even gives you extra Challenges when your classes are over!

It is not often that a game will have everyone in the house bouncing up and down with excitement, but Peggle Nights did just that! The kids had it downloaded to all the computers in the house within 15 minutes of finding out about it! With the cute characters, challenging boards, and the ability to save and watch replays, Peggle Deluxe has been a favorite in our house since it came to Big Fish Games this past March. I love the fact that Peggle Nights works at exact angles, so you can easily set up your shot and know where it will go. The kids have voted the ability to challenge each other to Duels as their favorite feature!

Buy it NOW!

Roogoo sets you in space catching meteors and sorting them through a series of catchers. Meet and overcome challenges such as blasting the bad guys out of the way, and keeping the butterflies from making off with the meteors! Challenge a friend to a battle of sorting wits, and see who can collect the most meteors!

Roogoo is a really cute game for the younger crowd. I am happy to see a multi-player game, but Roogoo reminds me of those old shape sorters for babies! You have to rotate the discs so the the shape falls throught he correct slot. Although the levels have added challenges as you progress, I still found it an incredibly simplistic game. The Roogoos are cute creatures, but even this did not draw in my boys, and neither showed much interest after the first couple of minutes...even when pitted against each other in a multi-player game!

Bloom Busters

Visit the magic village of Bloomland and help Jimmy and Jessie in their defense crusade. Save farms and forests by squashing peculiar monsters. Feed pigs, chickens, and sheep in 40 domestic-loving levels. Put a halt to the invasion of monsters with tricks that utilize gardening tools such as a fly swatter and water hose. Bloom Busters is chock-full of weapons and power-ups.

* Brilliant farm managing
* Lots of weapons and power-ups
* Squash monsters!
* Get help at our Forums

Bloom Busters is simple game of smacking the monsters to kill them and keep them away from the growing produce, flowers, or animals. Each level has you doing a different chore. You spend time growing apples, leading sheep from on pen to another, growing cabbages, feeding pigs, and defending flower blooms. You can choose from two characters, and your difficulty level at the beginning of play. Bloom Busters does have the ability to add a second player to any level during play, but the second player can only defend from monsters, and is not able to help achieve the goal.

Calling Bloom Busters a simple game was the highlight to it. The instructions are not always clear, as it pops a balloon over the action instead of freezing the action. Other times, we did not see the goal to the level and just spent time trying to figure out what we were supposed to do. We always love finding two player games, but Bloom Busters is not making it to our list even having a second player add in available.

Pat Sajak's Linked Letters

Got a way with words? Meet the king of television game shows, Pat Sajak, and win fabulous prizes like new clothes, fancy vacations, and man-eating plants. Create your own game show avatar and compete for endless fun in "Road Trip" mode. Discover multiple categories like Pop Goes the Culture, At the Cineplex, and Found on the Menu. Press your luck in Pat Sajak`s Linked Letters, an infectious quiz-show trivia game.

* Authentic Word/ Trivia game.
* Upgrade your avatar.
* Challenge friends and family!

Pat Sajak's Linked Letters will get your brain turning. From the clue given, submit your answer by finding it in letters linked together on the board. Of course you will run across a risk round every day where you can pick your category from three choices and choose to risk 25%, 50%, or 75% of your score. At the end of your ten clues, you will have undoubtedly made it to the bonus round where you have to find as many letters to link together to form words as possible. This is in the Career Mode. You can also choose to take it on the road, or to play with up to three friends at the same time. I did not try these features. You also get to choose a basic character, and clothe them. You earn additional clothes and points to buy clothes by playing the game.

Pat Sajak's Linked Letters was frsustrating at first. I do not watch a lot of television or movies, and do not know a lot about current "pop culture". But it seemes that the game provides for that, and so started giving me clues about food, common names, and other things I had a chance to answer. At that point I started having fun. This is not something that I think my kids would enjoy... we just don't so a whole lot of television or movies, we are more computer people! That being said I always love multi player games, and any game that makes you think, and this one provides both.

Elf Bowling: Hawaiian Vacation

Hold on to your hulas. The elves are sick of "The Man" and Elliot`s in dire need of a vacation. Island hop into a hilarious bowling game and mow pins, posed as elves, with your athletic skills and verve. Roll your ball over coins for bonuses and use Dirty Tricks like large gutters and magnets to thwart your opponents. Tune out colorful commentary aimed at distracting you, and bowl like a champ in Elf Bowling: Hawaiian Vacation.

* Festive bowling game.
* Bonuses and coins.
* Dirty Tricks tactics!

Elf Bowling: Hawaiian Vacation is a virtual bowling game that you can play alone, or with a friend! Choose your avatar and your ball, then pick up bonuses and dirty tricks to use on your competition! Elf Bowling: Hawaiian Vacation offers several play modes: Story, Single Player, and Multi Player. During play, you can line up where you start on the alley, aim, choose your speed, and then further control your ball as it rolls down the alley.

Elf Bowling: Hawaiian Vacation is something my kids are enjoying. Between the dirty tricks, and the colorful (horrible) commentary provided by the elves, I was not having as much fun. My (gonna be 8yo next week!) son says the high speed bonus is the coolest! He also recommends that if you are looking for an alternative to gore for a child that likes shooting games as much as he does, that THIS IS IT! Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if we weren't sitting in 120 degrees with one old 5000 BTU air conditioner for the whole house! So, I am going to go with a high recommedation for Elf Bowling: Hawaiian Vacation, and a warning to not play Elf Bowling during Severe Heat Warnings!

Finders Keepers

Play Finders Keepers and join Floyd Finders and his trusty sidekick Goldie in this aquatic adventure! Collect treasure, fish and special trinkets to help reunite lost loves, all while trying to avoid trouble from Pirates, Whales, Walruses and Ghosts. Finders Keepers will let you play at exciting and exotic places like the North Pole and even the resting place of the Titanic! Watch out for adversaries as you search the Atlantic to retrieve something very special to Floyd.

* Unique Boss levels.
* Action-packed locations.
* Dynamic characters to play!

This game was almost an instant hit! As soon as we saw that it had a 2 player mode we were ready to buy it without trying it! And I am happy to say that it held up even after trying it! This is one of our new favorites! There are three different types of play: Adventure, Boss, and 2 Players.

In Adventure you go through the story, and as you finish each location, that location is unlocked for you to play in the Boss games. The 2 Players is pretty self explanatory! Pick which of three characters you want to be, they each have there own helpers, and then pick which location you want to play at!

This is a New Family Favorite, and the kids have labeled it a Must Have!

Moorhuhn Kart 2

Moorhuhn Kart 2
Get on your cart and get ready to have fun with the feathered racer and his zany racing friends in a fast action racing game! Moorhuhn Kart 2 has amazing 3D graphics and easy controls for a unique game play experience. Play a single race to see who comes out on top or play in tournament mode and win the cup!

* Great 3D environments.
* Plenty of tracks to race.
* Exiting music and sounds.

This game if fantastic! Are you playing by yourself, or are you and a friend going to play together? Do you want to go through the time trials, or are you ready for the championship races? Pick which character you want to be and get ready to race!
The time trials give you the advantage of picking a single track to race on, while the tournament race lets you compete with bunches of other racers. The tournament races also gives you the opportunity to pick up bonuses along the track like rockets, black holes, bombs, police sirens, and caffeine cola for a turbo boost!
We are having a fantastic time playing this game.
I am rating this game a must have!

1/20/08 Just checking back in to say that we still play this game at least once a week 6 months later! It is one of our favorite family games because we can play together!

11/29/08 With all the games that have come out since, it doesn't get played every week anymore, but even as the kids grow older, they still come back to it. We are always on a search for games that we can play together, and Moorhuhn Kart 2 is perfect for that! The kids gather around the computer to start up tournament races about twice a month still! Better still, is how they join forces to make sure that both players are at the head of the pack, and beat out the computer character competition together! No one gets left behind!

1/10/2009 Just checking in! This is still one of the most played games in the house. With the faster tracks to unlock, this game still offers us a challenge. We love the tricks that you can leave on the track! And we will never tire of the ability to race together!
