The Sultan's Labyrinth

Long ago in ancient Persia, Sultan Bahar`s rule inspired the minds of his followers. Although, it was his fair and beautiful daughter, Princess Sadira, who captured their hearts. Can you help Sultan Bahar find a suitable prince for his royal daughter? Each prince must demonstrate his wisdom by solving puzzles within the Sultan`s Labyrinth. In a grueling Hidden Object-themed competition, who will defeat the Sultan`s Labyrinth?

* Fairytale Hidden Object game.
* Match items to shapes.
* Find the next Sultan!

The Sultan's Labyrinth is a rather simple hidden object game in my opinion. It has a variety of mini games included within such as find the hidden matching pairs, assemble the shapes to complete the puzzle, and follow the clues to solve the riddles. It was an enjoyable game with lovely music at the start, and a telling of the story of the Sultan's Labyrinth broken into scenes between levels.

For those just starting hidden object games, puzzle games, or for younger children this would be an excellent game. If you like a challenge like I do, this is not the best game for you, but a calm distraction to a busy day perhaps. If you like a challenge, try Enigma or The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes!

Money Tree

Money doesn`t grow on trees. Or does it? William, the gardener, must plant trees to earn dough and impress his lady. Win the hand of the beautiful Elizabeth Grant by caring for each tree with some TLC. Use quick reflexes to gather fruit at its ripest point and double click on falling leaves. Along the way, you'll earn money for power-ups to keep your trees watered and pest-free. Don`t forget to use fertilizer and Insecticide Spray to keep your Money Tree in good financial shape.

* Time Management dollar saver.
* Cool power-ups.
* Grow your money oasis!

Money Tree is an amusing game. I don't suggest letting the younger crowd play this game unless they have a strong understanding that money does not grow on trees! The basic premise is that you are a gardener caring for your fruit trees. Monitor how much sunlight and water they get, keep the pests from eating the leaves, scares the birds away from the fruit, etc. You earn money by picking the fruit, which you can use to buy upgrades like automatic sprinklers, fertilizers, and heat lamps.

The amusing parts of Money Tree come from how you grow your trees. You catch leaves falling form the air, and place them onto your empty tree branches. Occasionally, a bill of money falls from the air, which you may again place on your empty branches to grow money! Hence my warning! Over all Money Tree is an enjoyable game, with pleasant music, and bright simple pictures.

Supermarket Mania

It's Nikki`s first day of work at TORG Corp., a supermarket run by robots. She`s a bit on edge. Step in and help her stock shelves to the rafters to keep customers happy. Nikki must stay on her stylish toes and clean spills promptly, otherwise the rival superstore will shut your store down. Enjoy 50 manic, yet fun-filled levels in Supermarket Mania, everyones favorite one-stop shop.

* Time Management mania.
* Accessories and upgrades.
* Stock `til you drop!

At first Supermarket Mania seemed like just another simplistic time management game, but I really started having fun playing it when I got into the second store! It is your job to keep the shelves stocked and the floors clean. This is really not quite as easy as it sounds, multiple products, multiple customer types...super sale mode. The music is a bouncy tune to keep you moving along. I think our biggest complaint with this game was that it took so long between the end of day and the summary screen. It need a click here to skip to the next day button!

Supermarket Mania is a great family game, friendly and bright. My younger boys enjoy it as much as my teenage daughter and I do! Supermarket Mania would make a fantastic introductory time management game for the younger crowd, and just a happy bouncy game that us older kids can thoroughly enjoy also!

Virtual Villagers: The Secret City

Last Day of Work has done it again! The third Virtual Villagers is just as great as the first two! This time the play area is larger, the graphics have gotten better again, and we are getting rained on! Seriously, villagers kept running around, finding something to stand under, and "getting out of the rain". The Secret City promises to be filled with mysteries to be discovered. Enjoy the same detail screens, and unexpected events as before. Check out the villagers new dances!

Virtual Villagers: A New Home and Virtual Villagers: The Lost Children are two of my family's favorite games! It is amazing to me that even my 5 year old has a tribe of his own that he is running! Virtual Villagers: The Secret City looks to be the best one yet! The kids can't wait to start their own tribes!

Enigma

Leonardo da Vinci`s most famous masterpiece "Mona Lisa" is gone. Journey to Paris on assignment as a detective to nail the thieves. As a former art historian, your skill set is useful in helping to restore the art that was damaged during the heist. Who are these mysterious thieves? Find out by investigating 50 masterpieces from the Renaissance through the 20th century in this fantastic Enigma.

* Intriguing detective story.
* Masterpiece levels.
* Restore priceless art!

This is a beautiful Hidden Object game. Remove alien elements from classical artwork, and restore the correct elements to the paintings. As you start each level, you are shown the paintings, and given their names, date of creation, and where they are currently located. What an excellent way to introduce some classical artwork to your children! Or perhaps Enigma is simply a beautiful way to relax.

Either way, I'm hooked! My daughter was immediately drawn in by the paintings! My older son was thrilled with replacing the elements!
I'm wrapping this review up and heading back to a cup of tea, classical music, and Enigma!

Profitville

Ever wanted to rebuild an entire town? Here`s your chance. Things aren`t exactly working out for the humble town of Profitville. SuperHugeMegaMarts are moving in and threatening this quaint little place. Help smaller shops make more profit and take a stand against the nasty mega-mart monarchy. Use tools like the Fixer and the Deluxer, and gain an upper hand by using helpers. See the town improve with your own eyes and return Profitville to its glory days.

* Ruin the bully mega mart.
* Fun-loving levels.
* Restore the town!

Profitville is an interesting twist for a Match 3 game! Pick up items from the conveyor belts and place them into the correct shipping boxes to prepare them for shipping. As you go through the levels the conveyor belts pick up speed. Match multiples of the same items before packing to score bonus points. And line up your completed boxes before clicking to send to shipping for even more bonus points!

Broken items are a part of any retail business, but no fear this is a green game, we get to recycle broken items!

I love the concept behind this game! Save the small town stores from ruin after the Mega Mart moves into town. Correctly identifying objects, and their correct shipping box, noticing broken items to send to recycling, I believe this makes a wonderful educational game to help with sorting skills! Keep in mind that the conveyor belts get moving quite fast, so this is not a game for all.

Hidden Expedition: Titanic

Hidden Expedition: Titanic™

Buy Now!

This delightful hidden object game is the first one in what promises to be a long running stream of Hidden Expeditions put out by Big Fish Games Studio!

You have been given the mission to solve the mystery of the lost Love Diamond while retrieving items from the depths that the Titanic has sunk to. Carefully search through rooms collecting objects from each cluttered room and release them to the surface. Each level has 2 rooms to search through for hidden objects and gems, and then a mini game to complete for bonuses. Restoring old photos, or retrieving items for rescued passengers are among the mini games in each level.

As usual, my children were inexplicably drawn to the computer as the hidden object list emerged! The pictures are wonderfully rendered, with gorgeous salt water fish swimming across the scenes. Your time limit is determined by the oxygen tank running out of air, and each click produces bubbles rising up the screen.

Megastore Madness

A horde of customers is looking for a sale! Armed with a team of megastore specialists you race to help every last one of them before the day is through. Manage the employees to satisfy customers and maximize profits. Restock shelves, help customers, handle security issues and manage Super Sale Blowouts. Try and become an expert on 45 exciting levels as you work towards growing into a Megastore.

* Multiple store upgrades.
* Unique clientele.
* Manage Super Sale Blowouts!

Megastore Madness is one of those games where you have to click as fast as you can to serve your customers and keeps your store stocked. It has the advantage of having stock boys to stock, a cashier to check customers out, and a salesperson to help the customers find what they want. Unfortunately, you are all of them at the same time. I don't think a trackball mouse (the kind we use) is the best one to use for this type of game. Megastore Madness has advantages like each type of customer only wants one type of product. This makes it easier to line up your tasks.

This game did not make it onto anyone list, and we did not find any great redeeming qualities to it. If you think you may like it, download your own 60 minute free trial! No obligation!

Flower Stand Tycoon

Your Uncle Potts has fallen on hard times. His flower business is about to go under and he needs your savvy business sense to save the bulbs. Help your uncle by selling his flowers throughout the city in your flower stands. Advertise and upgrade your business to compete with other flower vendors. Grab their customers and their market share to become a flourishing Flower Stand Tycoon.

* Blooming time management game
* Seasonal items & merchandise
* Upgrade your stands

I absolutely adore this game! It reminds me of the old Lemonade Stand dos game that I used to play growing up. Except now it has updated graphics and features. Similar to the game play of Fairy Godmother Tycoon, you have a few competitors to deal with, but you can easily see where they are, and where you need to be! Unlike Fairy Godmother Tycoon, you travel to the section of your choice each day, and have to maintain all the sections at one time.

I am having a blast with this game! My daughter is enjoying it, but the boys, well it is quite the fast action and funny looking characters that other games offer... maybe when they get older. I love the flower choices, the ability to choose my advertising, researching new flowers, upgrading my flower stand, and running multiple flower stands at one time... well, I wouldn't want to spoil the game so I'll stop there!

Westward II: Heroes of the Frontier

Customize your towns with more than 30 luxury items and upgrades while staking your claim in Westward II: Heroes of the Frontier!

* New outpost in the Wild West!
* Distinct buildings.

Westward II Heroes of the Frontier is a terrific simulation game for children! There are easy built in tutorials along the way to introduce you to each new step. (They call them "Quests".) As you learn your town grows. If you plan carefully, you can even haves streets in front of the rows of houses, or stores. Make sure to build enough ranches and farms to keep everyone fed!

Don't forget to save as you go! Then you can always go and start again from time when things were going smoothly! I have had a lot of fun helping my seven year old son with his game, and he has had a lot of fun watching me with mine!

Magical Forest

Have you ever taken care of a Unicorn? How about a fiery Phoenix? Look after all of these wondrous creatures and more in Magical Forest, a game that combines elements of monster ranching, sim-style resource management, and real-time strategy. The Magical Forest is home to many fantasy-like creatures, but it's in danger of being destroyed. To save the forest you must raise 1,000,000 gold pieces. Can you identify every species and save them from extinction?

* Exciting quests to discover.
* Customize your creature!
* Enchanting spells.

Magical Forest reminds me a lot of a simplified and easier version of Grimm's Hatchery. It has an easier game play in that you are notified every time you need to do something, spend points on upgrades, new spells awarded, enough points to upgrade a helper. Also the goal seems much more achievable.

This has easily become a family favorite with it's enchanting creatures, and ease of game play. Grimm's Hatchery, on the other hand, has become a achievement that has so far escaped us, even in teams, and has long since gone by the wayside for the boy, while Magical Forest has caught their attention!
