Plant This!

Your garden is under attack by the mischievous gopher and his multitude of minions in Plant This!, and it is up to you to put an end to their reign of terror! Use the green power of flowers to stop them in their tracks. With your green thumb, arrange your flowers to defend the garden, and ward off the attacking invaders! These garden variety of flowers will amaze you with their magical abilities in Plant This!

Plant This! is a strategy game where you must defend your garden from the masses of various insects set to get through it. Choose various flower types and strategically set them up in a defensive pattern to block the bugs from getting through. Upgrade and replace various flowers as the game plays on to create better defensive strategies as the bugs gather forces, and larger and smarter bug bosses try to make it through.

Plant This! brought all the children to the computer. My 8 year old son loved the army, gun, militia aspect of it, while my 6 year old son was drawn in by the flowers defending the earth! :-) My teenage daughter absolutely loves this style of game, and thought the flowers were the perfect touch.

Plant This! is very similar to BFG's Master of Defense or the brighter Garden Defense™, which can still be purchased at Shockwave.com.

In Pearl Diversion help different fairies in whatever order you choose by locating hidden objects by the shadow provided. Then assemble a puzzle of one the fairies favorite objects. Also in each level is an additional type of puzzle such as spotting differences, or arranging objects in the correct order. You are provided with a certain number of hints per level. Choose your difficulty from three settings of easy, medium, or hard. Also choose the option to play with the timer on or off.

Pearl Diversion was an event that even the boys gathered close for. They loved the fact that the shadow of the objects were provided rather than a list of words, making it something that even the pre-readers can have fun with. The illustrations were beautiful, and the objects are so well integrated that we found the medium level to be unexpectedly challenging! We had a great time putting the puzzles together, and the spotting of differences is always a highly coveted puzzle in my house! After we figured out how to arrange things in order, we had a fantastic time with that also. We did find the music to get annoying after a while, but that's why speakers have a volume switch! Overall, Pearl Diversion was a very enjoyable game, that I could see having a very long playability in my house.

Coyote`s Tale: Fire and Water

Head out for the strangest vacation of your life in Coyote`s Tale: Fire and Water. Embark on a deceptive quest as one of the two sisters, and challenge the Aztec gods of Mexico. With the god of games and the god of storytelling as your guides, find hidden objects and keep the world from falling into chaos as you search through the beautiful environments of Coyote`s Tale: Fire and Water.

Coyote`s Tale: Fire and Water lets you choose the impatient sister, and work through a timed mode, or the mellow sister, and play your challenges with no time limits. After each series of hidden object levels, face one of the gods trials. For each trial passed, receive a sacred artifact to help you on your journey. Within the hidden object locations, you can switch between word lists, or image lists. Find flower symbols to earn more hints as you work through your challenges.

Coyote`s Tale: Fire and Water brought the boys right to the computer, with the youngest still settling into my lap. (I don't think that will be happening for much longer!) We all thoroughly enjoyed Coyote`s Tale: Fire and Water. The stories that coyote tells were cute diversions that we could read along with as he told them. I switched our hidden object lists to images, so that we could all participate together. I think this is a Must Have game, as it can be set on the no time limit mode, with the computer speakers on, and the lists clicked to images, so that even the youngest children in the house can play it by themselves. And for the older kids, or us adults, we can set the game to the timed mode and use the word lists for a fun challenge. Of course, these games are always much more fun when they are played together!
