My Exotic Farm is a 3D farm simulation with 5 categories of animals that produce eggs, meat and milk. This game is slow to start out. You have a very small amount of money, and you have to grow slowly. But it was kind of fun. We liked taking care of the exotic creatures. The ostriches are neat and bounce around a bit. The kangaroos forget to move, so you need to lead them around to make them happy. The different animals have different needs, so you have to buy and build the right shelters, food troughs, and food for each type.


I would equate My Exotic Farm to Fish Tycoon, or Plant Tycoon in that it is a much slower paced, yet more involved game. It is one of those games that you really have to play for several hours in order to get anywhere, and it is hard to assess just how good the game is until that time. I have high hopes that this game will continue to please throughout the course of the game.

Elements

The discovery of the `Alchemy Treatise` by Leonardo Da Vinci provides an incomplete formula for creating the Elixir of Life. Follow the clues left by Da Vinci`s assistant on a scientific swap-and-match adventure using the four elements: Water, Earth, Fire, Air and an unknown fifth element. Swap elemental gems to make matches of the same type and size to merge and distill each element. As you distill each element, the energy created unlocks new combinations of gems using the five elements. If you succeed in unlocking all 15 elements, you will discover the Elixir of Life.

This was a pretty cool game. You swap gems in order to combine them to make them larger. you continue to unlock new gem elements as you progress through the levels.

I think Brain Teaser is a good label for this game, although I found it relaxing. I like a challenge in my games though!
This was something that even the boys got into, although I don't think it is something that they would pick on their own...at least not yet! My teenager, on the other hand, couldn't wait to get a turn!

Age of Emerald

We had fun with Family Restaurant. This Time Management Game has you placing the ingredients in the right place to create the recipes that are ordered. And you really do need to be careful, a half inch can throw off the whole dish!

We had fun creating our own ice cream dish, but found it hilarious that we kept getting a low score when we served it because the ingredients weren't in exactly the right spot!

Vogue Tales

Vogue Tales takes you on a stylish and fashionable adventure through a colorful world! When Wendy`s grandmother sends her a mysterious gift, a burglar steals her present and her favorite dummy. Vogue Tales has you running between patterns and fabric to fulfill the customers orders. It was fun to buy the new patterns, new hats, and upgrades for the store. The warm coloring of this game made it more enjoyable than a lot of others we have seen lately.

I don't think there was anything really special about this game. It was enjoyable, not offensive, and safe for the whole family to be involved in!

While I was not terrible impressed by this Time Management Game, I really enjoyed playing it. I absolutely love the premise that this game is built around! A juice bar!

The kids were gathered around while we played this. C, calling out the fruit drinks as they were ordered! I think our favorite so far was when they added the Kiwi to the juice menu!

If you are wanting a wholesome Time Management for the whole family, put this one at the top of the list!

The clothing never seemed to line up quite right for us, either that or we just have too modest or classic of fashion styles! We did score really high for our modest outfits, and we scored extra points for some classic outfits! My daughter had more fun with this than I did, but I think I stopped worrying about fashion quite a while ago! I'll stick to modest, classic, and comfortable!

This is a fairly challenging game. you place different shaped blocks (think Tetris) to build neighborhoods. You have to have roads close enough, or the buildings decay. The buildings that are built earn you money to maintain your city, and build roads, or demolish where needed. On each level you must meet specific goals, before you can move on... Not among my favorites, and not a hit with the kids, but it is not our type of puzzle.

Turbo Subs

A super-charged sequel to the hit time management game Turbo Pizza, Turbo Subs is twice the fun, twice the challenge, with twice as much speed. We had a blast with Turbo Pizza! Underwater Pizzeria!
And now Robert and Rebecca are back, making Subs this time! Turbo has done it again! The basic premise to the game is the same, but after finishing Turbo Pizza, we are thrilled to have a new Turbo adventure! This time the mini game every few levels is a Hidden object game. 


But you still get to buy upgrades to your decor, appliances, and classes for Rebecca and Robert. Ooh, almost forgot to mention... you get to chose Beginner or Expert at the beginning of each section of levels! I chose the expert, and they were challenging enough to be fun, so I assume that the younger kids will be doing great on the Beginner setting!

This is a definite winner in our house. There is just something about the Turbo games that really appeals to my youngest. We can't wait to see all the creative levels they have dreamed up for this game!

Chicken Invaders 3

Once again you are being called upon to save the world from Intergalactic chickens. This time the have hidden away behind our sun while the build the "Yolk-Star". Luckily we spotted it before its completion, but... I love the opening scenes to these games! This one has improved upon the scenes between levels.

The chickens have improved their formations adding some dance moves to the mix, there are new weapons, more complex chicken movements, multiple alien ships, more intense "bosses" to defeat! In this episode, you can input your character name, and come back to your game. You can continue from the beginning of the level you were defeated on upon return. You can gather food for missiles, and see the counter going up as you eat the familiar drumsticks and whole chickens, and the new chicken burgers!

This is a definite winner in our house. Although my youngest just picked the Chicken Invaders 3 Christmas Edition for his birthday! He picked the Christmas Edition over the regular Chicken Invaders 3... said he liked the music, snowballs, and presents!

Only drawback is that Chicken Invaders 3 is a single player game. So this one isn't going to replace Chicken Invaders 2... my kids and I still like to play games together, even on the computer!

I was pleasantly surprised by this game! It turns out to be in the style of that monkey and balloons game "Bloons" that all of my kids like so much, except that you are shooting down bugs to save the garden, and you get to use plants and movable decorations for your defense. The Nightbane is my daughter's favorite, while the Flamingo is my youngest's favorite.







This is one of those rare games were there are cries of, "NO....(sob) not yet!" ringing through the air when the screen goes dark at the end of the trial. A definite must have! And Family Favorite!

In this simple Brain Teaser game you direct the bees to collect the flowers from the board. You only have a limited number of bees, so you do need to be careful, but by combining 4 bees of the same color they all fly back into line to be of service again.


This is a fairly simple game, so it did not appeal to me greatly for myself, and the youngest grew bored and left, but I could see this being challenging and amusing to my other two children. Not a great rating, but a fairly good game.

This game was so bad that I am labeling it as a disappointment. Satine is wearing so little clothing that even my boys were offended by it! The game play was not unique in any way. And the English was extremely poor... one of those games you have to guess at what they mean!

This game was a total bust in our house!

I had mixed feelings about this game when I first started it up. It started out very basic, almost simplistic. You have to do certain actions to prepare each step of the items on your menu. And I was very quickly frustrated by the spoon not stirring when I followed the directions given in the game tutorial.

I always try to give things a fair chance though. Sometimes just the nature of being different can lead to initial dislike of things, so I stuck with it to see how the game would grow. And the truth is that it grew on me. I haven't quite master the art of stirring yet, but buying more recipes was a blast. A bunch of the 4 star recipes turned out to be the easiest ones for me to make! My boys sit with me keeping an eye on all the timers as we prepare several dishes at once to all finish at the same time. Overall, this is a fun game.

Seeds of Sorcery

Seeds of Sorcery is a nice relaxing game. Move the lines of "seeds" from left to right to match up three or more "seeds" of the same color horizontally or vertically. As you progress through each section, new colors or challenges are added in.

I found this to be a bit slow and redundant. I think it would make a good veg out game when you are too tired to think anymore.

Champion Chef

Jenny, a graduate chef, dreams about her own restaurant. She decides to take part in a chef`s competition with a big money prize. You will travel around the world and study cuisines of 5 countries.
Each day you`ll help Jenny serve customers by cooking the dishes they order. To cook a dish, you need to combine necessary ingredients. Serve enough customers well and you and Jenny could go on to fame and fortune!

I must have played too many Match 3s when I was a kid! I thought I enjoyed them, but I have been putting them last on the list to try out lately!

Although this appears to be a Match 3, it really is much more of a Time Management. You need to grab ingredients and deliver them to the customers until the recipe for their order is complete. You can give them more than they need, or you can give them one at a time.

Everyone gathered around the computer to play this game, but less than a week later no one even remembers it. I guess it wasn't impressive enough to stick with us!

Roses are red, violets are blue, water the plants and make everything bloom! Flowers need your care and attention. Connect the pipes and water the plants to quench their thirst. I love puzzles! So I was looking forward to this Brain Teaser! In this game you need to rotate the sections of pipes to get the water to the flowers. The levels start out fairly simple... there is an easy answer, and then you sit back and watch.

Soon enough, you need to rotate the dispenser to different pipes throughout the level to keep all the flowers watered. You also earn bonuses as you play to use on each level including water refills, pipe replacement pieces, and speed grow! Fill the trellis with blooms to continue to the next level.

J-man and I like to play these types of games together. We are an unbeatable puzzle solving team!
