Monkey Money

Play slots to your hearts content with Monkey Money. Scatter symbols and wildcards increase your odds, and every win gives you the chance to gamble or play roulette for an even bigger payout. You will find crate bonuses and zany bonuses that will bring up various games to test your skills. Explore the jungle jackpot in this zany money grabbing card game, as the mischievous monkey becomes your best friend in Monkey Money.

Monkey Money is a slot game. If you like slots, this offers you a great way to play slots without risking the rent money! It gives you options to change your bet before each spin, and to double up or better on your winnings. A cute monkey is used as a wild card to match up with most of the symbols. There are 25 different paylines, giving you multiple ways to get a payout. There are also various bonuses that will bring up other types of game play.

If slots is your thing, then Monkey Money is the game for you! This is one of those games that everyone took one look at and walked away. Perhaps it was the year that we lived in Las Vegas, NV that they were remembering. After all, kids aren't allowed near those types of machines there. Monkey Money is not a game that we enjoyed, or found a purpose to. I guess we don't have the gambling bug...and I think that is a good thing!

Romopolis

Build a society in ancient Roman times with Romopolis. Build necessary housing and services to keep you citizens happy. Upgrade buildings and introduce new conveniences as you expand your empire. Colorful game play will inspire you to become a great leader, earning fame, honor, and riches along the way as you build your way through Romopolis.

Romopolis is a strategy game that places you back in the days of ancient Rome, being called to serve the Emperor as an architect. Design and build cities to the Emperor's directives, earning money and honor, and the hearts of the people you care for. Bring convenieinces to your citizens to make them happier and willing to pay more in taxes. This colorful game even has a sandbox mode so that you can design your own game!

Romopolis reminded me a lot of Build-a-lot, but done with structures and sounds associated with ancient Rome. The boys came to see the game, but were not drawn to play Romopolis. I think it reminded them of a simple Pharaoh, Cleopatra, and Ceasar III, which they enjoy playing several times a year. We love these games for the way they make you plan for what you will need, and allow you to make mistakes to learn from!

CSI: NY

Work as Detective Mac Taylor or Stella Bonasera from the hit tv show to solve crimes in CSI: NY. Some of the most bizarre cases have been assigned to you to solve. Use the tools of forensic science to gather evidence from a  variety of scenes across New York City in an effort to piece together what happened and track down the suspects. Work with some of New York's best CSI agents and bring criminals to justice with CSI: NY.

Search through the dark alleys and uptown high rises in CSI: NY to find hidden evidence. Engage your wits and high tech CSI tools to piece together evidence and present a picture of what really happened at these strange crime scene locations. Gather the evidence to put away the criminals in a exclusive special downloadable version of this popular game.

CSI: NY is a bit dark for anyone to have taken much interest. Although this is one of our favorite tv shows, and we were thrilled by the idea of it, and seeing familiar characters, it was not a game that we were interested in completing. Maybe at some other point of my life, I would have been intrigued to pursue CSI: NY, but this is not a family game that we would all enjoy at this time.

Be a King

Start out as a prince, and improve the lives of and take care of your vassals, while growing larger towns and cities on your path to Be a King. Build and upgrade food production and houses, train heroes and defenders, invent and use new technology, as you defend you lieges from hordes of monsters and robbers. Can you survive in this strategy game and make your way to Be a King?

Be a King is a strategy game that challenges you to start from scratch as a newly crowned prince and direct the development of your towns into cities of greatness. To do this, you must train workers and heroes, build barracks for your soldiers, improve housing and food production, and other varied tasks. Move from town to town, improving the well being of each, until you have created a land full of great cities, and wealthy citizens, and can be crowned king of the land.

Be a King is a fantastic strategy for the whole family. Although it does require some reading, it has easy to remember buttons, and actions. The ability to choose to grow your town, offer aid to neighbors in their struggles, and train soldiers had the boys zoned in and nothing could break their focus. I like Be a King as a simple strategy game that even the younger children can have fun with and accomplish the tasks. I think this is a game that my boys can enjoy now, unlike my favorite strategy pack of Pharaoh and Ceasar.

Mean Girls

Based on the feature film, Mean Girls, lets you battle your way through the bullies and deception of high school. Choose your skills and personality traits, and face match three battles against other high schoolers in an attempt to charm them over, or bring them down. Choose to play nice, or be just plain mean, in your efforts to create your own high school utopia in Mean Girls.

Mean Girls puts you back in school, battling your opponents with your matching skills. Go against potential foes in a match three challenge and win them over, take them down, or be defeated yourself. As you win matches, and gain levels, you can choose additional new skills to use during battles. Walk through the hallways of high school on your quest, matching skills with everyone you encounter. Work through the story to create a unique ending based on your choices every time.

Mean Girls reminds me a bit of Puzzle Quest in the battle your opponent match three style. It presents the idea in a much more modern way, and ties it in to a feature film from a few years back. The boys were excited to learn how to play, and I was pleased with the ability to personalize your character. I am not very good at being one of the Mean Girls, and prefer to win everyone over with me charm and intelligence. This is a game that highly appealed to my teenage daughter, as she new the movie and loves this style of match three games. I really enjoyed it also, and can't wait to finish the quests, and find out how the story ends.

Insider Tales: Stolen Venus

Play the role of Inspector Francesca di Porta in Insider Tales: Stolen Venus. The biggest art theft is decades has taken place as Botticelli's masterpiece, the Birth of Venus, has disappeared. Track down those responsible for the theft while engaging in exciting mini games, and discovering century old hidden facts. Take part in this thrilling mystery of Insider Tales: Stolen Venus today.

Insider Tales: Stolen Venus unfolds its mysterious story as you search for hidden objects among beautiful scenes in the heart of Italy. Between hidden object levels play a variety of types of mini games, and enjoyable dialog between the characters as you attempt to solve the crime and track down the missing masterpiece.

Insider Tales: Stolen Venus brought everyone over in the search for hidden objects like always. It was not so enticing to keep everyone gathered though. It was a decent game, and I did enjoy the game play. My one complaint is that the hint is not so helpful! It is a slight glimmer of the object for less than a second that you have to be looking in the right spot to catch. If you don't depend on hints in your hidden object games, that Insider Tales: Stolen Venus is a wonderful game.

Use the hidden coins as hints to find cleverly hidden objects. Work through chapter after chapter as you unravel the legend of the Incan Sun. Once you have solved the mystery you can replay the mini games, and go on an untimed adventure to explore the levels more fully.

Undiscovered World: The Incan Sun is a game that brought everybody over to search for hidden artifacts. I found the end of chapter puzzles to be easy, but fun. The levels were cleverly done with stunning artwork on each level. Undiscovered World: The Incan Sun was enjoyed as a family game, because the time limit was too hectic for the boys.

Chocolatier 3: Decadence by Design brought back the familiar Chocolatier and Chocolatier 2: Secret Ingredients game play. We were thrilled to see that the familiar mini game to set your cases per week for each recipe was just as always, and that enjoyable world travel while accepting missions to spread the Baumeister chocolate empire were still present. Chocolatier 3: Decadence by Design is a game that has been welcomed into our house, and we will enjoy for a long time to come!

Clueless brought the family to the computer. I enjoyed reliving scenes from the movie in the between scene banter of the characters. The boys liked to see all the styles, and are always fascinated to see how different outfits go together, but were not interested in trying out the game. Clueless is a pretty good fashion game. At least I didn't feel totally lost in this one! I'm pretty good at picking out an outfit after all! This game is perfect for all you fashion divas out there, young or not quite so young!

Australia Zoo Quest

Addictive linking fun awaits you in Australia Zoo Quest. Have you ever wondered what animals are native to Australia? Do you know at what age a tiger cub becomes independent? Is a wombat a REAL animal? And what is that porcupine looking thing, and how does it's mother carry it in her pouch? Link matches of three or more to fill the container with the required points, and be rewarded with pictures and information about this and more from Australia Zoo Quest.

Australia Zoo Quest challenges you to link together matches of three or more of an animal to gain points. Don't dally or the animals will get sick though. If you are a superb linker and can make a chain of 9 like animals you will be rewarded with a cure for all the animals on the board. Wild 'CRIKEY' and freeze time tiles can both be used to form or extend a chain. After each level, you will be presented with a new animal to read about, while you look through a series of three pictures of them.

The boys were excited by the look of Australia Zoo Quest. They were a bit frustrated by the quick pace of the game though. Although it offered three different levels of difficulty, I did not notice a difference between them. If you enjoy fast paced match 3/linking fun, this is a game for you! The information and the pictures of the animals did draw everyone over, although we were wishing that there was more information... sounds like the next homeschooling project is Australian animals! Australia Zoo Quest was fun to play, and getting to the next animal card was very addictive. I recommend this as a family game, fun for older children or parents, and cool and educational for everyone!

Mae Q`West and the Sign of the Stars

Let the horoscopes guide you through an epic journey in Mae Q`West and the Sign of the Stars. Help Mae decipher the clues within the daily horoscope to solve the mystery of her missing husband. Believing that all was lost when her husband's ship sunk at sea, yo must help Mae discover the truth and keep her family together in Mae Q`West and the Sign of the Stars.

Mae Q`West and the Sign of the Stars combines spot the differences with hidden objects to create a game full of zodiac stars and long lists of challenging play. A variety of mini games appear within the hidden object levels for you to find and play to earn even more zodiac stars. Take note that the lists are longer than the one screen they appear in. You gain money for each object found, and may use this to purchase both hints and constellations.

Mae Q`West and the Sign of the Stars had an interesting story line. The hidden object levels held a higher level of difficulty than I have seen in a lot of recent hidden object games, with an open ended time to find the objects, and no penalty that I found for clicking on wrong objects. Mae Q`West and the Sign of the Stars is a hidden object game that the kids could play without much assistance, but with a story line that that left them disinterested.

Funky Farm 2

Party down at the farm with Piper the cat on Funky Farm 2. Raise chickens, pigs, sheep, cows and more to earn money for accessories, and make sure that everyone is decked  out in their finest, funkiest get up by the end of the month. Rock out to Funky Farm 2's exclusive hip soundtrack, while you mange your time, and even name your animals. It's up to you to help Piper the cat get the farm as funky as can be.

Funky Farm 2 has a scrolling bar of products at the bottom of the screen each day from which yo can purchase each days supplies. Buy animals, food, grass, shears, and more from this bar. Play each day to meet a particular goal and add something to your farm. You can play to add fences, a sheep dog, a vegetable garden, cows and more. Collect your products during game play, and at the end of the day round up your animals before the sun goes down.

Funky Farm 2 had everyone gathered around the computer to see the animals come out in their funky attire! As each accessory is purchased, it goes into the mix of what the animals show up wearing. We had a blast playing Funky Farm 2. The boys liked the fact that the farm was built piece by piece, that we could use the cleaver to sell the animal's meat, and identifying which animal was supposed to be rounded up next as the sun went down.

Help Emma shine again as she tackles cleaning the mansion, laundering the clothing, and watching after the baby in this mad cap mayhem time management game. Keep in mind that laundry involves several steps, so get it started early. Get bottles ready in advance to keep yourself on your toes. And don't forget to grab your coffee for a super speed boost!

The crying of the baby in Nanny Mania 2: Goes to Hollywood had everyone looking around for the source of the cry, even the cats! This is definitely a game where managing your time is a necessary skill. Nanny Mania 2: Goes to Hollywood had the characters talking to us as the storyline played out, so even the youngest can enjoy the story, if they can keep up with the play! If you enjoy this time management game, then check out the original Nanny Mania!

Lost in the City

This feels like a game of cat and mouse, find the hidden objects, piece together the clues, find the next location. Is April involved in this, is she somewhere in this abandoned city? explore this city full of drama and suspense as you puzzle you way out from being Lost in the City.

Lost in the City puts you in the middle of a mysterious adventure. The last thing you remember was being on a date with April. You sipped that coffee she gave you and felt your consciousness slipping away. Can you figure out the puzzle and find your way out of the locked room and then out of the deserted city? Buy clues with the money you gain from finding each object and completing each objective. Move on to the next part of the mystery, as you are drawn on from one set of clues to the next.

Lost in the City has a well written storyline to it. Although I skipped over a little bit of the language as I read it out loud, it brought everyone over to take a look. We each enjoyed different aspects of Lost in the City, such as reassembling torn paper puzzles, decipher the code, and finding hidden objects. The boys were thrilled by the little add ins of getting to blow up a few things to reach the clues. Over all an intriguing hidden object adventure game suitable for family time together, or teenagers and older alone. Let's call it a PG-13! LOL!

The Serpent of Isis ™

The Serpent of Isis ™ is a piece of legendary artwork that was originally discovered by your grandfather in the early 1900's. It was also stolen from the grand opening of the Egypt Museum in Cairo. You have spent most of your adult life trying to track down the missing artwork. A mysterious letter arrives and directs you to find the person in possession of the stolen artwork on the Mont Palu Express. Board the train to begin the adventure of your life, and finally find The Serpent of Isis ™.

Full of beautiful scenes and intriguing puzzles, The Serpent of Isis ™ leads you through a storyline filled with lists of hidden objects. Narrow down the list of suspects, and journey through a variety of locations to track down the hidden objects and solutions to the puzzles. This adventure may be played in a non timed mode also. Find items related to each suspect to earn extra hints. Click the wrench to get a hint of what your next action should be, while the magnifying glass will show the general location of an object from your list.

The Serpent of Isis ™ is a fantastic hidden object adventure. It has an intriguing storyline, and pleasant artwork. The Serpent of Isis ™ did not illicit much more than a cursory look from the boys, but they were also involved in their own imaginative play. I think this is an enjoyable hidden object adventure game for all, but not one that will attract the interest of those younger than their teenage years.

Annabel

An ancient curse claims an innocent victim every ten years, and it seems that Annabel might be next. Join Annabel as she explores an museum in Egypt and is pulled in to relive the struggle of an ancient Egyptian princess.  Use your wits to avoid the devious and deadly traps set by her enemies. Is Annabel the reincarnation of the ancient princess? Could the millennia old curse still threaten her today?

Join in the adventure as Annabel relives the struggle of an ancient Egyptian princess. Solve a multitude of deadly traps and puzzles as she attempts to escape and be free from the evil plans of her enemies. From the menu you can replay any of the mini games from the game. Find hidden pieces to assemble objects to help you on your journey, assemble puzzles to unlock doors, slide puzzle pieces to disable deadly traps within this challenging adventure game. Hints are readily available if you need a hand.

Annabel brought everyone to the computer as parts of it tell the story out loud. The boys were thrilled to help me find the missing pieces and assemble objects. My teenager wanted to play by herself. Annabel was an intriguing game that is suitable for family play, and much more user friendly than other adventure games I have reviewed. There are pieces were a reader might be needed, but most of the game is self explanatory, and easy to follow. The challenge is left to the game play, and not to figuring out how to play the game!

Amelie's Cafe

Amelie's grandfather has left her in charge of his historic cafe in Amelie's Cafe. The cafe has fallen into a state of disrepair over time, and it is up to you to refurbish it. Get ready to serve up single dishes and complex orders to a wide variety of customers as you replace and repair the furnishings  in Amelie's Cafe.

Amelie's Cafe is a challenging time management game. Each food station has its own cook, but you must tell them when to make food, bring them the cleaning supplies when their station gets dirty, and serve the customers. As you upgrade you will be able to do things such as upgrade your employees to be cleaner or faster, or replace work stations or counters. You will even be able to build an indoor seating area and serve dessert. To earn bonuses match items at the bottom of the screen while the cafe is open.

Amelie's Cafe was a nice paced time management game that brought everyone over for a look. There was a storyline that unfolded between levels, but the "daily" play was not so interesting to the boys. My daughter and I had fun with Amelie's Cafe. This is a decent game for those who enjoy a time management challenge.

Adventures of Robinson Crusoe

Adventures of Robinson Crusoe is the story of a man who has been through a terrible shipwreck and finds himself cast away as the sole survivor on a tropical island. Adventures of Robinson Crusoe is set in the 1650s and based off of the classic Daniel Defoe fictional autobiographical masterpiece of 1719. In this hidden object adventure, you play as the title character of Robinson Crusoe and spend 28 years exploring your tropical island, fending off cannibals, and building a new ship to journey back home.

Adventures of Robinson Crusoe has two parts to each hidden object screen. First you will be searching for a certain number of like objects or matching objects to remove them. After you have achieved that, you will be searching for the given list of items. Some items require more than one step to find or create. You may choose from a relaxed mode with no time limit and additional hints, or a survival mode with strict guidelines you must survive. After each screen, you may choose to build the next step of your ship, or wait until you have completed the entire section.

Adventures of Robinson Crusoe brought my older two children to the computer with me. They were intrigued by the story and the scenes of the game. My 6 year old was much too involved in playing JumpStart World to come see what we were doing! We enjoyed the various scenes and challenges of Adventures of Robinson Crusoe , and it led to us researching the story to find out more about the author and storyline. Wonderful game to play together, and bound  to inspire a look into some classic English literature.

Unwell Mel ™

Poor sickly Mel has come done with every disease in the book in Unwell Mel ™, and you are the only doctor who can cure him! Use your scanner to find the problem spots within Mel, and start making matches to cure each ailment. Every so often, the salesman runs through town and you can buy special bonuses to aid you in your efforts to cure Unwell Mel ™.

Unwell Mel ™ is a zany medical match three game. Make matches of three or more to remove gunk from inside of Mel. Match bugs to make them explode. Making matches of four or more will earn you bonus pieces on the board. See if you can make all the matches needed to cure Mel before his time runs out.

The happy music of Unwell Mel ™ drew everyone over to the computer. The boys liked the idea of exploding the bugs, and some of the other power up bonus pieces that appeared. They did not stick around for long though. I did enjoy Unwell Mel ™, but found it to be a bit simple for my tastes. It is a great game to just veg out to, and the simplicity is something that the boys could easily do.
