We had a blast going through the historical scenes and searching for for hidden objects in Flux Family Secrets: The Ripple Effect. The boys were drawn to finding pieces of objects, and the scenes were fascinating to my daughter and I. The puzzles were fairly simple for the most part, but not drugery.
