Cake Shop is a simple time managment game. Start the game by flying to a new job as manager of a brand new cake shop. Create your customers desired cakes to earn money and tips in Cake Shop. As the shop has just opened, you will need to purchase upgrades for the store as you earn money and mastery skills. These upgrades will improve your stores ratings, as well as providing more choices of products for your customers.
In Cake Shop, you have just moved, and are a bit homesick. To cure this and keep your mood good, you must start construction on a new house for yourself. Balance your daily earnings between upgrades for the shop, and construction projects on your new house. Your Cake Shop will eventually get filled with all kinds of deserts for your customers to choose from. Start with custom jelly filled cakes, and slowly purchase coffee, sodas, ice cream, and cappuccinos to add to the menu.
I found Cake Shop to be rather simplistic, yet challenging. You have to notice what each of the three layers each customer want are. The biscuit and vanilla layers are quite close in color, and can be easily mixed up when you have several customers each wanting several things. None the less, I excelled on each level. Cake Shop was of no interest to the boys, and very little to my teenager daughter.
