At the start of Puzzle Hero you can choose whether you want normal difficulty or "heroic". Then, you get to customize your character, and while there are not a lot of choices, you can still have fun with it! And if you change your mind, you can always go to the Salon and buy a different look! In this match 3 game, you battle various types of monsters along your path by matching swords on the board. You can also match potions to heal yourself, crowns to level up, and coins to buy better weapons, et al. in the shop. There are also bull matches for a super attack, and shield matches for a super shield. In the store you will be able to buy magic weapons also as you level up, and have those available to you during matches.
Maybe it is the age, but the boys are really starting to get into match 3 games, and Puzzle Hero was no exception! Especially with the hero at the top of the screen actually attacking when you match 3 swords, the boys were drawn in to see what would happen next! I would definitely recommend Puzzle Hero as a stand alone off line RPG type of game! Perfect when the 7 yr old can't wait to be 13!
